It’s
no secret that sculpted arms are the hot look of 2009. Michelle Obama’s look
has catapulted arms to being the new décolletage; the perfect summer accessory
to strapless dresses and halter tops. Obama’s signature sleeveless style has
not only boosted sales at retailers such as Talbots and J. Crew, but has
inspired women nationwide to better tone their arms.
Not to brag, but my arms are definitely a favorite feature of mine. They receive compliments from women around the world. My years of diligent training seem to have paid off! My favorite way to sculpted biceps is pushups! Hundreds of them!! (as you may have seen during one of my lectures!)
Defined muscles are achieved by consistent strength workouts that focus primarily on the shoulders, biceps and triceps
• Tools can be varied and can include weight machines, free weights, bands or water tools
• Enough weight should be used to FATIGUE the muscles being worked within 15 repetitions
• Sets of 10 to 15 repetitions should be repeated two or three times
• Strength workouts should be done two or three times a week, for about 30 minutes to exercise all of the major muscles
• The key is to be CONSISTENT with patterns!
• Be sure to eat well and be at your proper weight since excess fat will cover up beautiful muscles
• How a person's body responds to exercise is genetically coded, so the goal is to get the best arms available to YOU!
