Our absolute favorite “calorie saver”

CHEDDAR CREAMY CHEESE

Servings:38


4 ounces cheddar cheese, or your cheese of choice

2 cups nonfat cottage cheese


Place cheddar cheese in food processor and process.

Add cottage cheese and process until the mixture is smooth and creamy.

Place in a crock, press waxed paper on the cheese, cover and store in the refrigerator or freezer.


SERVING IDEAS: Toss with hot pasta, spread on whole grain nonfat crackers, use as a sauce on cooked vegetables.


NOTE: This is a wonderful mixture to keep on hand for use as a spread, dip or sauce. We like to make a quart at a time, put it in three crocks and freeze two. When you use a stronger cheese you cheese you can save calories by using less of that and more of the cottage cheese.
