It’s hard to believe that a year has passed since daughter Cathy became CEO and President of The Oaks at Ojai. She is doing a great job, and she is blessed with the support of loyal guests and a great Oaks team (30% have been with us more than 25 years). I am so very proud of her!

When asked if I’m retired, I answer, “No, just reinvented!” By halving my 60-hour work week, I get to teach more classes and spend more time with our guests. My passion for spreading the fitness word is apparent as I continue to keynote at many Go Red for Women luncheon fundraisers. My next such speaking date is on May 9, 2012, in Little Rock, Arkansas. As most of you know, I returned to competitive figure skating five years ago. In October, I competed in six Masters events at the ISI Adult National Championships in Tampa, Florida, winning all firsts! My next big skate was as Mrs. Santa Claus in our Channel Islands Figure

Skating Club holiday ice show on Dec. 9 - 11, 2011. As in previous years, all proceeds from the show were donated to an organization that provides Christmas gifts for foster children.
